Well... I got a tape, 8 hour one. Now I'm back to watching this... One of the families is making moonshine, and it's really interesting to see how they deal with it and how the other families react to that fact. I find it odd how the guy who suggested making it is feeling slightly guilty about it, or at least appears to be. It looks like he's trying to rationalize it, by saying how it's teaching his kids work ethic, responsibility, etc. Which is pure BS because if the 14-16 hour work days don't teach work ethic nothing will, as anybody in their right mind would realize. So obviously he must be feeling guilty about it. I have no doubt I'd have no problems with having my kids help me make alcohol, it's not like their's anything wrong with it even if it is illegal to make without a liscense, but sometimes you've got to do something that society may believe is wrong to survive (Oh yeah, think I forgot to mention, they're selling it, they made $25.00s the first time which is equivalent to 2 months work for a farm hand). I'm really starting to wonder what criteria they used to select the families though, at least one of them is truly pious... I know that religion was a good part of frontier life, but even so I don't think that should have been that major a part in the criteria, at least as it appears to be to me. Although on the up side they appear to be of slightly different religions, even if they may just be of different sects, or whatever they're called in the christsian religion... (protestant, catholic, etc.) I'd love to know what the rest of the world thinks of this proggie if anyone else is watching it, although they probably obsessing with it as much as I am...

Till we meet again

Hmm, need to go out in a few, buy some VHS tapes to record this shit (The Frontier Living show). I really don't feel like moving tho... but I guess I'll get up in a couple...

Yeah, time to go for a few, bbl... But damn man, this show is totally addicting.... hehe going to buy some tapes now, cya
sooo fucking tired... got up at 6:30 the 'smorning for the SATs, and it was hell to get their on time. I don't think I've ever been to that school before and if I have I've never driven their before. The SAT's were easy, although kinda tedious but not to bad overall. I just wish they were a bit shorter... I was really regretting signing up for them though, I mean having to get up at 6:30 am on a saturday morning does Not make me happy.

Watching this really cool program on Pbs/Thirteen/Wnet or whatever it's called where you're at (if you happen to have it that is...) Frontier Living, it's reality tv meets public television. They did an experiment with 3 families living like they would have if they were alive in the 1890s, it was fully by choice though. Totally volunteer, no prizes or anything, just 5 months to "enjoy" themselves... and I must admit, I really am enjoying watching it. Right now they're showing a wedding that ceremony that was fairly common for the time, give or take the tuxedo/dresses. I'd buy the dvd with extra footage, but it's 200 bucks and I don't have a dvd player :( So if you feel like buying me one (a dvd player that is)feel free too... Wishlish, which for some reason I created... no clue why... although it might be so that I have a place to organize my thoughts on my wants and needs... I think I'll probably update that occassionaly, whenever the mood strikes me anyway. I should probably add a ps2 to that, but I'm not really sure if I want one or if I just like the idea of one... ah well, peace out for a few, maybe I'll share some more of my musings later...

*sigh* This week is to fucking busy... I've got SATs tommorow, so I've got no time to do anything, and I need to go to bed in like 2 seconds :( So no real update today, although I'll try and write something in the next couple of minutes that isn't just endless dribble. Something different than what I normally do in another words... like I will not quote the song I'm listening to...

"It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
rising up to the challenge of our rival
and the last known survivor
stalks his prey in the night
and he's watching us all
with the eye... of the tiger"

see, I didn't quote it! That song happens to have started when I was half-way through typing that... (just because their was a song that was only 30 seconds on before that one... but still...). I love this song, it's so fucking true... Now I've got Brad Logan on (Rancid) from the south park Chef aid plus sound track, good shit... that's one of the few cds I've actually bought myself. A lot of totally random shit on it, including Bubble Goose by Wyclef Jean, the original version of which sucks, the one on the CD however is several times better. It's got a few of the characters from SP singing with it and it enhances it so much...

Now that I've switched to another song in a totally different style D12 - Devil's Night - Ain't Nothing But Music sweet shit though...

"What's going on in the world today
People fighting, feuding, looting, it's ok
Let it go, let it flow, let the good times roll"

uhhh, enough random shit I guess for now anyway, although I will mention that one of the lines in this is quite reminiscent of one from another of his songs when Eminem went solo. "Eminem doesn't like N'Sync, well I do, so fuck him and the back street boys too" kinda reminds you of "You say Will Smith doesn't need to curse to sell his albums? Well I do, so fuck him and fuck you too" and yeah I know that I misquoted the last one, but it's pretty close to accurate, and fuck the random capitalization I used. I'm to tired to worry about that, and in to much of a hurry. Cya peopz...

Bunch of miniscule posts today, very close together... guess I just dont' have the patience to type out a whole long thing like I usually do. But I'm gonna try this time! I figured I'd recap my day yesterday for anyone out their who can't see into my head and live it for themselves.

First off, for my civil and criminal law class I became the court stenographer, which for those of you who don't know, means I write a transcript of what's going on, it's appears that it's going to boost my grade in that class substantially, because it's something they really need and something that very few people can do. I type around 110 words per minute, which to some people is ridicuously fast, and which for me is way to damn slow... but it lets me keep up with what they're saying. So we've got records of the past day (and I assume someone else was doing it today, since I was absent from that). It is kinda fun though, much better than just watching anyway.

The baseball game was really sweet, even if I didn't watch that much of it, I was paying more attention to the conversation (and the food fight :P). And the real fight of course, between these two 250+ lbs guys, broke out like 5-10 feet from me. It was fairly interesting, especially to see how well trained the stadium security was. I also discussed the possibility of a mock trial club with my civil/criminal law teacher since he was on it (school sponsored trip). I lucked out on the trip though, I heard their was a free ticket/seat like 25 minutes before the bus was leaving ;) So overall it was a pretty fucking sweet day.

hmmm, got that wrong, it's 14/100th of a cent per song per listener which still comes out to over a thousand dollars a year...
well, now that I finally got out of bed... I slept around 16 hours last night so I slept through just about everything and now I'm starving, but I need to do a few things on the computer first, before I can eat. Only gonna be on for a few

Hmmm, reading up on some of the Save the Radio stuff. Save Internet Radio It's all about the various charges Congress is attempting to level against them through RIAA pressure. It's something like 1/25th of a cent per song per listener (might be a bit lower, but now much) which adds up quite quickly, 25 listeners equals 1 cent per song, and when you have a 24/7 station that comes out to around 3360 cents a week (aka $33.60). which may not sound like a lot but for 52 weeks it comes out to almost 2000 dollars (1747.20). Which is some truly major BS.... especially considering how very few of these stations make any money whatsoever... and in fact pay for the bandwidth... so please go to the link and see what you can do to help (at little or no inconvenice to yourself)

Thanks people...

sorry for the deafening silence lately, I haven't been home much lately, I just got home from school 10 minutes ago and it's 12:10 am or so here, so that would be why I didn't write anything yesterday. Sorry. I went to a baseball game tho, my first ever major league game, so it was cool ;)

BattleGround God my web find of the day, kickass quiz that tests how logical your beliefs about god are. I got 0 direct hits and I bit 2 bullets, because apparently, at least according to them, my thinking is a little bit different than most peoples... weirdos...

Feel free to share your results, it'd be interesting to see how other people did...

Lifebane@optonline.net

been busy today, I'll post more on today tommorow (or later today actually, and the aforementioned today should be yesterday but oh well)

Sunday, April 28, 2002

Well, I updated by subprofile for no apparent reason, and now it makes virtually no sense (Aim: Zelucifer if anyone cares) I have a page explaining about how and why I'm god, with scientific proof. Found out their are adapters for what I need with my computer and now I have the feeling their was something I said I'd do but I can't remember what, although I do remember thinking that I'd post the lyrics to One Week by the BareNaked ladies sometime soon, but I don't feel like doing that now, I feel like eating actually. So I'm going to now... or was anyway till one of my friends I wanted to talk to logged on *glares at him*. Freaken person whom I like!!! Must kill him... After I talkto him of course, and steal his life force for my own... uhh, I mean steal his soul...

Lol, I just got a chain letter about the TLC girl *Lisa"Left Eye"Lopes died two nights ago while on vacation in the Honduras, in a car crash. Please send this to 5-10 people in the next 30 mins, if you do this something good will happen to you. Please do this in honor of Lisa. Just copy and past* jesus, how stupid ;)

Sent it to the guy who sent it to me a few times, I wonder if something good will happen to me now. Maybe something akin to the good feeling I'm getting right now for no particular reason (although it might be connected to having actually gotten a decent amoutn of sleep for the past two days....)

Jesus, this website is scary Email Stimulator check out their slogan, found that fromPenny Arcade, while the guy was ranting about spam. He had a decent idea, spam em back... I should check up on the legality of mail bombing... although I think I'm more likely to talk to their ISP Admin...

I rented The One last night, sweet movie. The ending sucked and a few parts weren't that great, but overall it was a good movie. The action was well done although some of it was a bit to exaggerated... I'd rather watch the sequel to the matrix if that freaken movie would come out already, or spider-man in a week or two...

No clue what I'm gonna do today, I've been up for over an hour and I'm still not really awake, I'm gonna grab some coffee in a few and then head out. Soon as I finish checking this shit out.

Hasta La Vista Voices....
